2nd Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Race Date Announced
Canaan Valley Half Marathon is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k, 5k race. The upcoming race is scheduled for April 25-26, 2020. The destination race is in one of the most beautiful places in the Mid-Atlantic. Canaan Valley and Tucker County, West Virginia, are absolutely beautiful and are a hidden treasure. The location is just three hours from Washington DC and Northern Virginia, and three hours from Pittsburgh. It is centrally located in the Mid-Atlantic and is the perfect destination race for the outdoor enthusiast.
The 2nd annual race through the Canaan Valley, in beautiful West Virginia is set for Sunday, April 26, 2020. This is a destination race like no other, with unspoiled scenery all around and miles of tranquil mountains, hiking trails, rivers, and streams. The Canaan Valley Half Marathon is truly the perfect runcation for the outdoor enthusiast. Participants should make plans to attend and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

The Canaan Valley 5k will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2020, starting at 10am. The end of November 2019 will finalize the course. The Conquer the Valley Challenge is the 5k on Saturday, April 25, and the Half Marathon which will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2020, starting at 8am. The race will begin at the base of the Canaan Valley Ski Resort and finish at the Canaan Valley Resort inside Canaan Valley State Park.
A spokesperson for the event explained, “We will have prizes for the top three finishers for male/female in the Conquer the Valley Challenge, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. In addition, we will have prizes for those who place in the top three for their age groups for the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three male and female winners of the Conquer the Valley Challenge, as well as bonus bling for everyone who completes both events.”
